I don't alwyas buy new products every single month, most of the time I would stick to the ones I already own, and I would purchase new ones any now and then, just to tick off something from my beauty wishlist, so writing a post about my favourites every three or four months definitely makes more sense to me.
This is the first one, so here are some of the things I've been currently loving.
I know that is not something everyone would like, but being so fond of chocolate, I could not ask for better, and believe me, when you apply this lisptick, it almost feels like you're putting melted chocolate on your lips.
Now, onto the main feautures of the lipstick.
First of I got mine in the shade Chocolate Honey, I was actually looking for a browny nude, since all the nudes I have veer on a mauvy-rose tone, and this one responded perfectly to my needs.
The pigmentation is great, and though they do not claim to be matte, the effect on the lips is definitely opaque, also, the lasting is really good, I would say, on me it lasts about 3 to 4 hours, and then it starts to fade a bit.
The only down side is that it is a bit a drying, so I would not recommend it if you already have chopped lips, because this lipstick will enphasize that dryness.
Hourglass Mood Exposure Blush. Yes I accidentally drop it, and yes it felt apart. It is definitely safe to say that these blushes are quite fragile, so be careful when handling them.
However, this is probably one of the best blushes I have ever tried, it does give a good natural, healthy looking glow, and to me it almost functions as an highlighter, because it contains luminous specks, that make the cheek area stand out a lot.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. This is quite expensive but worth all the money spent.
I think this bronzer is probably the best you could ever ask for.
It is a perfect inbetween, because it is cold enough, to allow a good contouring, and warm enough to bronze up the skin, and give it a nice healthy glow.
The highlither is fine, it is quite pigmented too, but to me the main focus of this palette is the bronzer.
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows. I've just recently discovered this brand, but I already love it.
First thing I want to point out about this brand is that they don't test their products on animals, which is a great thing, and I think every company should follow this path.
However, you'll be blown away by the quality of these shadows, they're not too expensive, each pan costs around $6 for the regular shadows, and $9 for the foiled ones, which are more pigmented and intense, but they definitely feel like high end, and in my opinion they're even better than Mac ones.
My favourites are Grandstand, which is a foiled shadow, and I would say it is a metallic silvery rose gold, and peach smoothie, which is a matte peachy shade, perfect for the crease.
Givenchy Dahlia EDT. This is probably the perfume of my life. I am quite picky when it comes to perfumes, and after sniffing pretty much all the ones on the market at the moment, I found the one.
I find it really hard to describe fragrances but I'll attempt to do it.
I think it is really sophisticated, it's both floral and fruity, with hints of blood orange and peach, and jasmine and roses, so it is quite a fresh scent, but it also has some sweetness, and a more spicier side, given by sandalwood, vanilla and musk.
I'm sure you're probably wondering how this could have a good fragrance with all this different scents combined but I promise you it does, and it also lasts long on my skin.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer. This is quite an orangy bronzer, that's why I don't really like to wear it just on its own, but I always use it on top of some other colder toned bronzers, so that I can contour my face with a cooler one, like the Charlotte Tilbury, and then with this Hourglass one I can bronze up the skin, adding a natural sunkissed glow.
